Who we are

Mon Espace Jeux is a puzzle and word game app (sudoku, crosswords, chess and more) published by JDSoft. JDSoft is responsible for the data described below. For advertising, Google also acts for its own purposes (see “Advertising”).

The short version

Data kept on your device

This data does not leave your device unless you create an account (see below): your chosen language and theme, the history of finished puzzles (game, level, date, duration, number of moves or score), records, daily puzzle progress, the offline puzzle stock and your advertising choice (consent or refusal, with its date).

You erase it by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in your device settings.

Account and backup (optional)

If you create an account to back up your progress, we process your email address (to identify you and send a one-time sign-in code), an account identifier, session tokens and the data you choose to back up (language, history of finished puzzles).

This data is stored on a JDSoft server (Mon Central). It is not end-to-end encrypted: the server can read it. The server also keeps the technical data needed to run and protect it (IP address, date, request type).

Legal basis: providing the service you request. Retention: as long as your account exists. You can export your data and delete your account in the app; deletion erases the account and its backups.

Advertising (version with ads only)

In the version with ads, the app shows a banner at the bottom of the screen, a full-screen video after a few finished games, and sometimes offers to watch a video in exchange for a reward (for example a batch of offline puzzles). These ads are provided by Google AdMob.

Before any ad, the app asks for your consent. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a Google consent form is also shown. Without your consent no ad is shown and the ad service is not contacted. Because the app is funded by advertising, it then asks, as long as you have an Internet connection, that you accept ads in order to use it: you can change your choice or uninstall the app. Without an Internet connection, the game remains available offline.

If you agree, Google may collect and use, according to your choices, data from your device and your use (for example the advertising ID, IP address, device information and information about ads shown or tapped) to show ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud. Google then acts as a controller for its own purposes: see Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from partner apps.

Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time from the app's “Privacy and advertising” screen (and, when offered, with the “Google privacy options” button). Withdrawal does not undo what happened before. You can also manage the advertising ID in your device settings.

Rewarded video

When you choose to watch a video for a reward, the app asks our servers (Mon Central, then our ad manager) to open a reward session. Once you have watched the video to the end, Google confirms to our ad manager that the reward is due, and the app unlocks it.

These exchanges contain neither your name nor your email address: only random codes (including a random identifier specific to your installation, unrelated to your account), the date and the result. We keep them to limit abuse and check advertising revenue, then delete or aggregate them.

Recipients and transfers

We do not sell your data. It is shared only with our hosting provider, which processes it on our behalf, and with Google if you accept ads. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, with the safeguards described in its policy.

Children

The app is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you think a child has given us some, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on the applicable law (including the GDPR), you can ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of or objection to its processing, its portability, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to contact@jdsoft.net; we reply within one month.

You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country (list of authorities).

US residents: we do not sell personal information. If your state recognises rights of access, deletion or correction, you can exercise them by writing to us, and you can withdraw your consent to ads in the app (with an Internet connection, the app then asks you to accept them in order to be used).

Security

Exchanges with our servers are encrypted (HTTPS). The access keys to our services stay on our servers and are never placed in the app.

Changes

We may update this text. The version and date are shown at the top of the page. If an important change concerns advertising, we will ask for your consent again.
